After the Olympic gold in mountain biking in 2016, Jenny Rissved's had problems with mental illness and eating disorders, but last year she made a comeback.

After that, the purpose of cycling has been to have fun in order to get away from the press and prestige.

Until a few weeks ago, Rissveds was determined not to bet on the World Cup or the World Cup - but now she has changed.

The 26-year-old tells Dagens Nyheter that she is opening up for the World Cup and World Cup competitions.

- Actually, I am terrified, but I have decided that I can not avoid the competitions until I myself think I am optimally prepared, she says.

"Mental challenge"

Rissveds will run the World Cup competitions in Nové Mesto in two weeks and the World Cup in October if she is selected.

- I have to challenge myself to dare to show myself, and not hide behind the fact that I am not optimally prepared.

It's a mental challenge for me, what's to come.

Right now she is unsure of where she stands in terms of form.

The reason for this is that she crashed during training at the end of July and suffered her second concussion in less than a year.

Therefore, she has not been able to train as usual.

Today, however, Rissveds is involved when the Swedish Championships are decided in Gothenburg.
