At the same time, the union points out, according to a press release, that "each case will be unique and require separate consideration".

The decision on the guidelines taken applies to matches in the highest national series, SDHL, SHL, hockeyallsvenskan, hockeyettan and junior series J20 and J18 at national level.

At least five players must have been infected

It is the Swedish Ice Hockey Association's competition committee that will decide whether a match should be canceled.

In addition to the fact that at least five players must have been infected, the medical officer in the association must also provide a statement and an assessment of the risk of spreading the infection.

"Teach us all the time"

The guidelines developed in consultation with the leagues may also change over time.

- We will need to reconsider these guidelines if necessary.

We learn all the time and will be flexible, says Olof Östblom, competition manager at the Swedish Ice Hockey Association.
