Ittihad Kalba and Khorfakkan teams settled for the same goal today in the two teams meeting within the friendly quartet tournament organized by Sharjah Club at Khalid bin Mohammed Stadium in Al Hazana. And Sharjah had launched the championship yesterday, losing to Ajman 2-1.

The friendly session is part of the four teams' preparations for the new season of the Arab Gulf League, which begins next September 9, and in the first matches after the return of activity since it stopped on 15 March.

Kalba opened the score through Brazilian Anderson in the 15th minute, with a powerful shot from outside the penalty area, which Khorfakkan goalkeeper Mohamed Youssef was unable to block. On the other hand, Khorfakkan scored the equalizer by a Brazilian player, Antonio Da Silva, after he completed a ball that rebounded from the hand of goalkeeper Jamal Abdullah in the 35th minute.

The two teams fought the match cautiously for fear of injuries and because of the high temperature and humidity, which led to many substitutions from both sides, especially as it was held as part of the precautionary measures against the Corona virus without an audience and in three rounds, at a rate of 30 minutes per half.
