The second half of summer is the time when school graduates become applicants. Olympic champion Alina Zagitova applied for admission to the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA).
If earlier the Olympic champion of Pyeongchang-2018 spoke about the desire to become a coach, now it turned out that she chose a different direction - "Producing and Cultural Policy" of the Faculty of Journalism.
“When the question arose of where to enter, I thought: it will not be difficult for me to study in sports, I am in the subject. But mastering the profession of a journalist is a challenge. It's interesting, "Zagitova said in an interview with the RANEPA official website.
The athlete aims to study on a contractual basis on a full-time basis. Some suggested that this could mean the imminent end of a skater's career, but she herself assured that she plans to combine study and training.
In the future, Zagitova, in her own words, dreams of becoming a presenter on television.
“I am motivated by Ekaterina Andreeva, the host of Channel One. I am subscribed to her Instagram, and in general I love to watch how she works. From time to time she uploads videos on how to speak correctly, various video tutorials. Very interesting! An amazing woman, of course! " - admitted Zagitova.
Elisabeth Tursynbaeva, another student of Eteri Tutberidze, also successfully passed the exam and decided on her future. The figure skater received 89 points for the social studies exam and now intends to submit documents to the Moscow State Institute of International Relations of the Russian Foreign Ministry (MGIMO).
The same skaters, for whom admission to a university is not yet relevant, continue to actively prepare for the upcoming season. Evgeni Plushenko showed a fragment of Alexandra Trusova's new free program to music from different adaptations of William Shakespeare's tragedy Romeo and Juliet. It is too early to talk about the complexity of the number, but it is already clear that it will include a cascade of a quadruple lutz - a triple toe loop.
