At the microphone of Europe 1, Valdo, a former attacking midfielder of PSG, confides in believing in the chances of PSG in the Champions League, while the capital club must face Leipzig on Tuesday for a place in the final of the competition.

It's the big day for PSG. Facing Leipzig on Tuesday night in Lisbon, the capital club has the opportunity to qualify for the first Champions League final in its history. But after their snatch victory against Atalanta Bergamo, will Thomas Tuchel's men be able to thwart the trap set by the German club? Valdo, former glory of PSG, is convinced, and even sees his team go to the end. "I believe in 1,000%", confides the ex-Brazilian attacking midfielder on Europe 1.

"I believe that PSG is really coming at the right time," says the man who played for PSG between 1991 and 1995, and was part of the team beaten by AC Milan in the semi-finals of the Champions League in 1995. "Let's just hope that Kylian Mbappé will be ready for the match," Valdo said. 

"We're going to lift the Champions League"

"I really believe that everything is going to be fine, and that this time, we will lift the Champions League," says Valdo. Remembering his European journey in 1995, the Brazilian describes "a magical moment". “It's a special day because you work a lot to get to these moments,” he explains.

For the former midfielder, the one-match format can also favor PSG, as can his opponent's style of play. "Leipzig are a difficult, very dangerous team, but always looking to play the ball, give spaces. I think that PSG can take advantage of that with their attack."
