Paul George and Kawhi Leonard mostly scored for the Los Angeles Clippers in the winning game against the Denver Nuggets with 124-111. The star duo had 53 points together.

The victory against Denver was extra important. Because with only one game left of the restarted game schedule, before it's time for the playoffs, it was Denver who could get past a star-studded Clippers.

Denver was in the lead but came back and turned around. Behind the turn was, among others, Leonard when he shot 63 equal in the third period.

Leonard and George were recruited to the Clippers before the season and are the team's key players.

- They are in good shape and that is exactly where we want them to be, Clippers coach Doc Rivers told TSN after the match.

The playoff tree is starting to take shape

With the win, the Clippers will face the Dallas Mavericks in the quarterfinals.

For Denver, the Utah Jazz await in the playoffs.
