KBO's worries are deepening as the number of canceled pro baseball games this summer during the record rainy season. It is highly likely that the double header, which was decided not to open during the hot weather, will be implemented right away this month.

Jamsil, Incheon, and Daejeon, which were canceled due to rain last weekend and postponed to today (10th), were canceled due to rain.

So far, 44 games, more than 11% of the games scheduled for this season, have been canceled, the most at the same time since 2015, when the 10-team system began.

Among the canceled matches, 30 matches have been postponed to the'preliminary day' period, which was vacated for 13 days from October 20 to November 2.

Due to the issue of the Gocheok Dome, it is impossible to increase the reserve date because the postseason must start at least on November 3rd.

Lotte is 10 games behind, and KIA and KT also have to play 8 games during the 13th preliminary period, but the problem is that there is a high possibility that canceled games will continue in the future.

As it becomes almost impossible to finish the unscheduled game during the preliminary day period, KBO is in a position that it has no choice but to play the double header that it originally decided not to do in hot August.

Tomorrow, KBO will discuss the rest of the schedule at the executive committee, which is a meeting of 10 club managers. When the'August Double Header' is implemented, the schedule will be breathless, but players will have to endure the extreme consumption of physical strength.

In a situation where canceled matches are different for each team, the double header of the hot weather is expected to be a big variable in the fierce ranking fight.
