The death of the sheikh of the Syrian basketball coach, lover of the Emirates, of Corona

This morning, Syrian and Arab basketball was shocked by the death of the Sheikh of Syrian coaches Ratib Sheikh Najeeb, nicknamed Sheikh of coaches, who worked in the basketball service for 50 years  

The Syrian Basketball Federation mourned the coach, the salary of Sheikh Najeeb, after he passed away, as a result of his infection with the Corona virus.

Sheikh Najeeb is one of the most prominent Syrian coaches at the Arab and Asian levels, and his name was associated with many well-known Syrian clubs, such as Al-Wehda, Al-Ittihad and Al-Karama, before continuing his career towards professionalism abroad, especially in the UAE League, through training Al-Jazeera and Al-Nasr teams, the last of which was Al-Wasl in 2015. On a trip that was distinctive for the late coach, who was known for his love and connection with the Emirates a lot.

His career also included coaching the Syrian national teams, as he trained the men's and youth team, and arrived with the Syrian youth team to the World Cup in Canada in 1991.
