The result is the 34-year-old's first top ten placement since the victory in golf major ANA Inspiration 2018. The top form comes at an opportune time, this year's edition of ANA Inspiration will be played outside Palm Springs, California in a month.

The other three Swedes who played the last two rounds of the competition ended up further back in the field. The second best Swede was Louis Ridderström at minus one, followed by Anna Nordqvist (+2) and Linnea Johansson (+5).

At the top, the American Danielle Kang was somewhat unexpectedly able to take her second win in as many weeks - unexpectedly because New Zealander Lydia Ko had the victory in a firm grip for a long time.

With six holes left to play, Ko led by five strokes, a lead that before the closing 18th hole had shrunk to one stroke. All that was needed for victory was to play equal to Kang on the hole, but the second shot ended up on a walkway, the third went past the green and the fourth down into a bunker.

In the end, it was a double bogey, while the American calmly put in her pair putt for a total of minus 15 and victory with one stroke.
