Today, Wednesday, 31 foreign referees arrived at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, in preparation for leading the matches of Prince Mohammed bin Salman Professional Cup (Saudi Professional League), according to the official website of the Saudi Football Federation.

The site added that the referees ’management of the competition’s matches comes in accordance with the executive action plan after the decision to complete the current football season.

There are eight rounds remaining at the end of the Saudi League, which is led by Al Hilal with 51 points, and its traditional rival Al-Nasr Club is chasing it with 45 points, and they will meet on the fifth of August next in the 23rd stage of the competition.

The Saudi Football Association officially decided to start the football season, which was suspended from last March due to the Corona virus, on the fourth of next month.

It is scheduled that foreign referees will manage a number of matches for the upcoming stages of the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Cup, according to the requests received by the referees committee from clubs wishing to run their matches by foreign referees according to the established and announced mechanism.

This mechanism provides for the approval of ten foreign arbitration teams for each team during the league matches, as of the thirteenth stage, according to several conditions that the foreign crew’s request be raised at least 13 days before the match, whether the match is on the team’s ground or outside it.
