Jacob Thorssell lost only one point when he won the final in Målilla. That loss of points came already in his first heat, when he finished second behind Pontus Aspgren.

Just Aspgren started the competition best with three straight heat victories and looked like a future winner. But after his first heat, Jacob Thorssell lined up five straight heat victories and won the final, after taking the lead in the first corner. He was challenged by his teammate in Dackarna, Oliver Berntzon, but he could never get past and Thorssell was able to cross the finish line as Swedish champion for the second year in a row.

Berntzon had to settle for the silver, his second in his career and the Indians' Pontus Aspgren took the bronze. Four in the final was the Lion's Mathias Törnblom.
