Forever the first (to be lit). Shown after the victory against Dortmund, in the round of 16 of C1, for celebrating the qualification of PSG while France was preparing to enter confinement, the ultra Parisians were entitled to the same criticism for their return to the stands , Friday evening, during the victory (7-0) of their team against the Belgians of Waasland-Beveren.

Massed at the feet of the Virage Auteuil during the first post-confinement match of their team at the Parc des Princes, the members of the Collectif Ultras Paris suffered the lightning of social networks for not having respected barrier gestures or wearing masks in tribune while the Covid-19 is still circulating in France.

"We have no will to disobedience"

Questioned by our colleagues from Paris , Romain Mabille, the president of the CUP, admitted having "underestimated the enthusiasm that there was going to be" around this match. “We let go of the enthusiasm of the match. We managed it very badly, I fully agree, but we are not irresponsible. We have been discussing for weeks how to get back to the stadium and be safe. There was no ill will on our part, ”he continued.

This first experience should not, however, prevent the ultra-Parisians from attending the last friendly match, against Celtic Glasgow on Tuesday evening (7 p.m.) at the Parc des Princes, before the final of the Coupe de France against Saint-Etienne at the Stade de France on Friday. “We will try to demonstrate that we are capable of having responsible behavior, even if the atmosphere suffers. PSG would like us to be there respecting all the instructions. It is doable, we are looking for the best formula. We have no desire for disobedience, ”concluded Romain Mabille.

On the other hand, the CUP should not be present in Saint-Denis on Friday against the Greens, nor against Lyon in the final of the League Cup a week later (Friday, July 31). The leaders of the Collectif Ultras Paris also recommended their members not to go to Lisbon for the “Final 8”, where their team will face Atalanta Bergamo on August 12 in the quarterfinals.
