According to MMA Junkie, the incident occurred July 12 in the Kensington area. The corpse of an athlete with stab wounds was discovered at about 10 pm.
Prior to this, Shepherd celebrated a birthday in his backyard, surrounded by friends and family members, including his mother and young children. The fighter was 30 years old.
It is noted that an investigation is currently underway. No arrests were made.
Shepherd has six victories and two losses in MMA.
