Citizens of the Russian Federation supported the proposed amendments to the basic law of the country, and since we represent their interests in the State Duma, we must now fully concentrate on work. Thus, the additional burden in the State Duma will not give me the opportunity to focus on the work of the RRF, ”said Drachev, who is also a deputy of the State Duma.
According to him, he will not be able to fully immerse himself in biathlon and the preparation of the national team for the 2022 Olympic Games. At the same time, he expressed his readiness to advise his successor as head of the RRF and his assistants.
On July 11, a report-and-election conference of the RRF should be held, where a new president of the organization will be elected. The only candidate for the post is Viktor Maigurov.
Earlier it was reported that Drachev will withdraw his candidacy from the election of the head of the RRF.
