Pauline Hammarlund, Rebecka Blomqvist and Stina Blackstenius are three players who have been selected for the national team in the past year.

In the club team, Gothenburg, there is only room for two of them on the pitch at the same time - because the team's playing system only allows two strikers.

- You know about this competitive situation and everyone wants to play as much as possible. But I think it will make us better and it is evolving to know that competition exists, then we will be better, says Stina Blackstenius.

- It feels like we really help each other and use the competitive situation to something positive, says Blomqvist.

"It is proven"

Hammarlund and Blomqvist played in Gothenburg last year and totaled 23 goals. Stina Blackstenius stood for nine meetings in Linköping and now they are all in the same association, and can be decisive in the gold battle in November.

- It is proven that if you want to go far you need a broad squad, maybe a little extra this year. To have competition in all positions I only see as positive this year, says Hammarlund.

Rebecka Blomqvist is the youngest in the trio and the one who has taken the biggest step in the last few years. For two years in a row, she finished second in the shooting league, 13 goals last year, and now she aims to be at the top in both the damall Swan and the shooting league.

- Yes of course. I want to contribute points and goals to the team.

An injury has disturbed Blackstenius

Stina Blackstenius is perhaps the sharpest recruit in the damall Swan this season. However, an injury has contributed to her being benched in the two opening matches.

- Partly you want to be on the pitch and help, but somewhere it's about what we do as a team. When I start on the bench it is important to accept it and do what you can to push the team forward, says Blackstenius.

If they are the series' best offensive trio, we will know later this fall.

- We must look forward to November. But if we were to stand there with the gold, I must say that we are, Hammarlund says.
