The Renault DP World Formula 1 team announced yesterday that Spanish racing champion Fernando Alonso has joined the team, to participate in the 2021 season alongside French driver Esteban Ocon.
This decision is the culmination of the strong ties between Alonso and the team, and the value of the Spanish driver who won the title of "world champion" twice in 2005 and 2006, when he represented "Renault" in the race, while he won 314 grand prizes, achieved 32 wins, and ascended to the podium 97 times over The course of its sporting history.
The inclusion of Alonso is considered the second most important decision announced by the team this season, after the disclosure of the partnership agreement with «DP World», to become the company the first official partner of the team at all, and the decisions confirm «Renault» to make the largest possible preparations for competition in the race, and its insistence on Restore the World Championship title.
The Chairman and CEO of Dubai Ports World, Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem said: “Last March we announced the signing of the partnership agreement with (Renault), by which we became the official sponsor and first global logistics partner for the team, and the agreement represents a major achievement for (Renault) And DP World ».
