- Liga.Neymar sues Barça for the third time and demands another 6.5 million
The FC Barcelona has been cleared of any crime in the signing of Neymar , now at Paris Saint-Germain , from Santos as the Arbitral Tribunal of Sport (CAS French) has rejected the demand of the Brazilian club, which claimed more than 61 million euros from the Blaugrana entity.
"The Arbitration Court for Sport has completely rejected the claim filed by Santos before FIFA, in which he demanded from FC Barcelona the payment of 61,295,000 euros in damages, with the corresponding sports sanctions, following the signing player Neymar ", reported FC Barcelona.
The TAS considers that the contract between Santos and the player was terminated "by mutual agreement", and that FC Barcelona did not breach the transfer agreement when it paid "additional amounts" to the player's father and to the N&N company.
In addition, the court considers that FC Barcelona did not commit "any fraudulent conduct" when it signed the pre-agreement with Neymar, nor when it signed the transfer agreement with Santos.
The TAS resolution also condemns Santos to pay the procedural costs to FC Barcelona, for an amount of 20,000 Swiss francs (18,810 euros).
With this resolution, the TAS denies that Barça fraudulently signed Neymar and that he paid Santos less as bonuses and, on the other hand, that he did not sign the player before reaching an agreement with the Brazilian club.
