Spanish coach Josep Guardiola has warned his Manchester City soccer players against making mistakes because their repetition will leave the team out of competition in the England Cup and Champions League competitions.

City lost its Premier League title to Liverpool last month, but it is still competing in the title-winning European Cup and the Champions League, which reached the final price, before suspending the competition in March due to the emerging Corona virus.
City suffered nine losses during the current season in the Premier League, the last in the last stage against Southampton 0-1, knowing that he received a total of only six defeats in the previous two seasons during which he won the title.

"We still have amazing goals to fight for, to try and to play well and that is the most important thing," Guardiola said on the eve of Newcastle's hosting tomorrow, as part of the 34th Premier League stage.

City reached the semi-finals of the Federation Cup to face Arsenal on the 18th of this month, while Real Madrid will face second leg of the Champions League final in August, knowing that it won back at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium in the Spanish capital 2-1. Guardiola stressed that his team "is at a stage where we make mistakes sometimes. We must avoid that."

"If what happened against Southampton, Tottenham and Norwich is repeated with us outside our homeland, we will be eliminated and Arsenal will be in the final of (the Federation Cup) and (Real) Madrid will qualify at our expense." Despite the losses to Chelsea and Southampton since the resumption of the Premier League, Guardiola stressed that he does not question his players' approach to matches. "I was worried about what our approach would be but we were great. The performance was good and this makes me confident that the team will not be relaxed," he said.
