Joe Cannata was selected as the best goalkeeper of the series, when Björklöven broke the scoring record last season. But this spring he chose to leave for Oskarshamn in SHL.

Björklöven has now found his replacement in 30-year-old Kevin Poulin. He has signed on for the upcoming season with an option for another year if they go up to SHL.

- I am really embarrassed to come to Björklöven and play for the team next season. I really look forward to joining the team after the summer, ”says Poulin to Björklöven's website.

Played 50 games in the NHL

Poulin was drafted by the New York Islanders in 2008 and debuted in the NHL as a 20-year season 10/11. During five seasons in the NHL, there were a total of 50 games.

- Kevin becomes an important puzzle piece in the puzzle we are about to solve. He is well-qualified and has extensive experience from important matches. He has good size but is still athletic and reads the game well. He will be an asset to us in Björklöven, says sports manager Per Kenttä.

In 2018, Poulin was part of the Olympic team in Pyeongchang and was among other things in the bronze match against the Czech Republic.
