In two or three minutes, Everton created more than the team did throughout the match. First there was a low cross from left-hand Dominic Calvert-Lewin who headed the ball towards goal. The keeper saved but returned a striking Tom Davis who pulled the ball into the post.

At the next corner it was close again. Following a nod, the ball reached Calvert-Lewin, who quickly nodded stone hard just outside the goal frame.

Just one minute later, in the 81st match minute, came the third giant position. From his own backline, Everton pulled a long ball against Richarlison. The striker pulled away from his guard, advanced on the left and fumbled inward into the penalty area before pulling the shot hard in the middle of the keeper.

Liverpool led most of the game but it was Everton who created the hottest chances. Despite the last three minutes of the match, the match ended 0-0.

For Everton, it was over ten years since they won a derby in league or cup games.

Liverpool are leading the Premier League draw with 23 points and still have a chance to beat Manchester City's 100-point league record of the 2017/18 season.
