China and the defending champion Japan, rival Saudi Arabia and Indonesia fell into Group D together. According to the rules, the top two teams in the group qualify and the top four can qualify for next year's World Championship.

  In the qualifiers held in September last year, the 2004-age national youth team led by He Xiaoke had 4 wins, 3 wins and 1 draw, scoring 28 goals with zero goals, qualifying as the group leader, and again reaching the Asian Games finals after 6 years stage.

  Due to the absence of two consecutive Asian Games in 2016 and 2018, the Chinese Football Team will only be able to take the first 4 grade teams participated in the draw.

  According to the latest game adjustment plan of the AFC, the opening date of the current Asian Games will be extended from September 16 to November 25 this year in Bahrain. The top four of the tournament will qualify for the Peruvian U17 Men's World Cup in 2021.
