This summer, the Tokyo Olympics was the big target for swimming star Sarah Sjöström. But when the corona virus paralyzed the world, everyday life became a completely different one that is currently characterized by a great deal of uncertainty.

- It is very difficult, and it can happen a lot in a year. Especially from when you are 27 until you are 28 years old. There are also many swimmers who have been in quarantine and have not had the opportunity to train, says Sarah Sjöström to SVT Sport and continues:

- My last competition was in January and I do not know where the next competition will be. But there will definitely be no competitions this summer for me.

Studying for PT

As Sjöström does not have any scheduled competitions booked, she has started to pitch to personal trainers.

- It's going well and we'll see if I pass all the tests I need to do. In any case, it is very fun to do something that I have not done in recent years, ie to study. Personal trainers are a great fit because it is training I do with each. Now I really get to learn lots about the body and how I can get even stronger in the gym. I look forward to getting started properly, ”she says.
