When the corona pandemic broke out, the entire football world stopped.

The Vietnamese league was no exception and has been on pause since March 15 - but on Friday it was time for a re-start in the V-League.

No audience restrictions

And unlike Germany, Denmark and Portugal, among others - where football has also resumed - it was with a striking frame.

The Communist nation supreme in Southeast Asia has not been subject to any restrictions on public entrance, whereupon thousands of football-hugging supporters made their way to the stadiums.

Get face masks in the audience

In the city of Nam Dinh, the home team of the same name received Viettel in front of nearly 30,000 spectators in a match that the guests won by 2-1.

According to the Reuters news agency, most of the audience did not have a face mask, but hand spirit must have been available to visitors whose body temperature is reported to have been controlled by match hosts.

- I'm not saying this to compare ourselves to other countries, but Vietnamese football is back after the covid outbreak. It shows us how well the Vietnamese have fought the virus, says Viettel player Que Ngoc Hai, who is also the team captain of the national team.

Vietnam has managed relatively well from the spread of the corona virus and has only 328 cases found in the country without a single death as a result. This after investing in a strict line of mass tests and a centralized, collective quarantine program.
