When the game schedule for the damall Swede was presented on Monday, Piteå was disappointed. The club had the hope of being able to piece together away matches and beta by several teams during the same trip. But the Northern Bots have only two straight away matches once during the season.

The club's chairman, Rikard Fahlman, has now begun to look for solutions. Among other things, he expects the team to be able to take the flight instead of the bus as they head south this summer.

- We have to expect that we can fly. In the protocol that Sef (Swedish elite football) gave to the Public Health Authority, it was stated that flights may become relevant in exceptional cases, and we see ourselves as such, says Fahlman.

Unexpected help

However, he emphasizes that Piteå has not yet received a clearance from the Swedish Football Association to fly, but the club expects a message in the near future.

In the aftermath of the completion of the game schedule, several private individuals have contacted the northern settlements and offered their help. Yesterday the club received a really attractive one.

- We have received an offer from a man who was quite upset about the rules of the game. I do not know who it is more than he owns a hotel in Eksjö. He said that if we come one night he offers the overnight stay, we will two nights he offers and we will 22 times he offers. It is absolutely fantastic when you get such calls there. It keeps one up, says Rikard Fahlman.

Several teams nearby

Småländska Eksjö is strategically good for Piteå. Fahlman has started to look at the possibilities of having the hotel as a base and starting from there. From Eksjö, Piteå reaches several teams, such as Växjö, Vittsjö, Gothenburg, Linköping and Kristianstad, on a three hour bus ride.

- I looked at that yesterday and it could work with flights to Stockholm and then bus to Eksjö. We hope it can be so. Since we go the day before, two nights are spent on a match.

June 27-28 will kick off this year's season of damall Swedes and on Thursday the clubs will determine exact kick-off times.
