The Emirates Football Association unveiled three proposals on completing the AFC Champions League 2020, discussed by the Asian Football Confederation meeting today, Wednesday, by "remote" video communication system, in the presence and participation of the AFC Director of Competition Shane Mangel and Director of Competitions and Operations Department of the Association Professionals Taha Izzat Emirati, along with representatives of a number of national federations and officials of the company sponsoring the Asian Championships.

The Emirates Football Association said in a statement: "Three proposals have been put in place for the completion of the AFC Champions League 2020, which is in September, October or November, and the final decision will be taken later on about the appropriate date, after returning to the competitions committee," noting that "the Emirates Federation The Football Association has demanded the speedy decision-making for the clubs to optimally prepare for the tournament, and the Continental Federation will open a new registration period for the clubs to register players knowing that the final date of the tournament has been fixed on the fifth of December 2020 in the West Asia region.

For his part, Secretary-General Mohamed Abdullah Hazam Al-Dhaheri, who participated in the meeting, said: "After the coordination with the International Football Association, the AFC decided to complete the joint qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup and the 2023 AFC Asian Cup in October and November, so that two matches will be played on 8 October 13 and two games on November 12-17, 2020. "
The Secretary-General of the Football Association stated that "The AFC decided to postpone the AFC U-16 Cup finals scheduled in Bahrain next September to be held during the period from 25 November to 12 December 2020, knowing that our junior team will participate in this tournament, and it was decided to establish the Asian Futsal Clubs Championship in Dubai for the period from the second to December 13, 2020 ".
