Edouard Philippe confirmed the reopening of the sports halls, from June 2 in the green zone and from June 22 in the orange zone. If a lot of work remains to be done to ensure compliance with health standards, room managers finally breathe.

Gym owners are moving into high gear, after Edouard Philippe's announcements on Thursday evening concerning phase 2 of the deconfinement. In the green zone, the rooms will reopen on June 2 and in the orange zone from June 22. "I have the impression of breathing for the first time in two months," laughs the co-founder of the Neoness brand, Céline Wisselink, visibly relieved.

"It was extremely worrying"

Céline Wisselink has nothing to be bored of. An eye on her emails and the cell phone, never far from the ear, she activates to make up for lost time. "We didn't know how long it was going to last. It was extremely anxiety-provoking for us, for our clients, for our teams [...] We were just waiting for a date, we were breathing."

Now, the gyms strengthen the cleaning and disinfection teams and dismantle certain weight machines to respect the distance between customers. The coaches are trained in barrier gestures.

In the green zone, everything will be ready on June 2 but there will not be room for everyone because of health standards. It will therefore be better to be ahead: if you have to suffer to be beautiful, you will also have to get up early.
