On Thursday, RIK announced that legend Magnus Wislander is finishing his assignment as assistant coach for the club.

Wislander tells SVT Sport that he has been frustrated and not drawn even with head coach Jasmin Zuta.

But the club claims that it is a schism.

- It must stand for Magnus. I can only say that we have not been happy with the season, we finished ninth in the series for various reasons and as Magnus says the collaboration with Jasmin has not worked painlessly, says sports head Henrik Lundström.

Can you develop it?

- They think of handball in different ways and just as Magnus says, he had not made this decision, it probably would not have worked anyway.

Is it a frustration that has been building up over a long period of time?

- No, I wouldn't say that. The season has ended and all contracts expire on May, so it is natural that we now evaluate the season. Magnus has signed a one-year contract as long as I have been a sports manager, but this year we did not agree on a new contract, says Lundström.

"A nice finish"

To replace Wislander, the club is now working on an internal solution that they hope will be ready in the next few days.

- Magnus is the biggest we have had in this association, perhaps both as a player and a leader. I think all RIKs think this is a boring day, but at the same time I'm pretty sure Magnus agrees with us that we made a nice ending where both agreed on how we would go about it.

Don't you feel that as a sports manager you had to choose between Jasmin and Magnus?

- No, I definitely don't know. And I have not experienced that Magnus has had problems with his role, says Lundström.
