It was Monday that the new acquisition of the all-Swedish football team Sirius did a breathing exercise at home when he fainted.

- My girlfriend found me, maybe not lifeless, but totally blue in the face and very tight in the body as a form of cramp. She called an ambulance and did cardiac rescue for eight, nine minutes. While she was about to meet the ambulance, I woke up and after about half time she noticed that I started to move again, says the 23-year-old.

He was taken to a hospital where he had to do computer tomography, blood tests and several ultrasounds on the heart, among other things.

- They could say there was no brain damage after all the examinations.

Last Friday he was allowed to leave the hospital and exactly what happened is still unclear. Gefvert has had a meter in place to measure his heartbeat in the coming month to rule out heart failure. He has been given a total football ban in the meantime, but doctors believe he will return to football.

- It could have ended worse than it did. It is scary and hard, but sooner or later you will be able to come back. It is clear that you are affected mentally and physically, but I feel good about the circumstances. I am happy that I am alive and that there was nothing worse that happened to the brain, for example, says Gefvert.
