The Croatian club Dinamo Zagreb issued a press statement in which it confirmed that the club's sports director, Zoran Mamic, was on his way to travel to the Emirates, after reports that the coach had been convicted illegally, and a preliminary sentence against him for a period of four years and 11 months.

Dinamo Zagreb explained that Zoran is planning to work in the Emirates again, indicating that the club is frustrated by the lack of justice in Croatia and the slow decision-making of the irresponsible authorities in the state.

For its part, the Croatian newspaper “Dibor” confirmed that Zoran Mamic and his brother Zdravko sentenced them to prison terms on the basis of their conviction for embezzlement of 17 million euros concerning transfer deals for the players, the most prominent of which is Real Madrid and Croatia's team Luka Modric, explaining that the ruling is not final, as Zdravko fled From Croatia, while Zoran seeks to stop this court ruling.

She added: "Zoran is involved with his brother and another official about providing and receiving bribes, evading taxes and other issues, accusations of profiting by at least 19 million euros from the players' transfer deals, and evading the payment of these sums to taxes."

It is noteworthy that the Croatian media confirmed that Zoran Mamic received three offers from Al-Ahly, Al-Jazira and Al-Wahda clubs, after he had previously had a successful experience with Al Ain, during which he achieved the league and cup double, and obtained second place in the 2018 FIFA Club World Cup.
