The Turkish Football Club Besiktas has reported today that eight of its members are infected with the Coruna virus, a month before the resumption of the domestic league, which was suspended due to "Covid-19".

Besiktas said in a press statement that the tests were conducted on the players, members of the technical committee and workers on the field, without giving details of the identity of the eight people, who were found infected with the virus.

These injuries will raise more fears, especially after the game's local federation set a June 12 date for the resumption of league matches suspended since March.

The head of the federation, Nhat Ozdemir, confirmed that the matches will be played without an audience, but this matter may change depending on how the spread of the "Covid-19" virus has evolved, at a time when the second division club Erzurum Sport revealed yesterday 11 cases of the virus, including four players.
Turkey has officially recorded 143,114 cases of the virus, while 3,952 people have died, according to the Minister of Health.

In March, Galatasaray Fatih Terem's coach announced that he had contracted the virus, as was the case for the former goalkeeper of the Turkish team and Barcelona, Rushto Ripper, but both recovered.
