Saeed Abdul Ghaffar told «Emirates Today»: “The current electoral cycle has not ended, and therefore there is no truth in any talk related to this matter in the current period.”
It is mentioned that, according to the laws and regulations, the duration of one electoral cycle for sports federations is four years, after the end of the prescribed period, free elections are supervised by the General Sports Authority, bearing in mind that elections for sports federations are carried out by direct election, such as handball, volleyball, bicycles, athletics, chess, basketball, and football Backgammon, and that there are some sports federations that are chosen by appointment by the General Sports Authority.
