Siblings Bäckman, Andreas and Jessica, are both ready for TCR Europe's new e-sports series, which starts this weekend with the first of a total of seven competitions.

In the series, 25 drivers will compete virtually on the same tracks as they will compete on later this year as the real racing season begins.

- E-sports and sim-racing have received a lot of attention and popularity lately, so it's fun that TCR Europe jumps on that train. For both fans and drivers, it is a great opportunity to be entertained by some racing in the difficult times that are happening around the world right now, ”Andreas Bäckman said in a press release.

Jessica Bäckman, who is a lone woman in the starting field, says that she is loaded for the competition.

- A fun thing about sim racing is that it is possible to design the cars so that they become very realistic and look almost identical to the real cars, she says.
