It is Maradona's former teammate in Naples, center-back Ciro Ferrara, who has now sold the icon's jersey.

Ferrara, who was also part of Napoli's gold team in 1987 and 1990, changed his shirt in connection with a training match between Italy and Argentina in the summer of 1987, the year after Argentina's World Cup gold in Mexico City.

"I get touched when I tell you that I give this shirt away," Ferrara says.

The former defense star was born in Naples and founded a foundation - along with the famous football brothers Cannavaro - after the playing career, whose purpose is to realize social projects for children and young people.

This is where the sum of SEK 620,000 should now go.

“We have won another match together, Ciro. Perhaps the most important so far. We won it for Naples and the Neapolitan. Thank you Ciro for once again making me feel like part of the amazing people, ”Diego Maradona writes on his Facebook page.

Maradona, considered by some to be the foremost football player of all time, spent seven years in Naples between 1984 and 1991.
