Roland-Garros, initially scheduled for late May and then postponed from September 20 to October 4 due to the Covid-19 epidemic, should finally offer a first round on September 27 and be preceded by a week of qualifying.

The Grand Slam on clay should be held from September 27 to October 11 with qualifications (which were not on the program of the postponement) from September 21, according to information Thursday from the newspaper Le Parisien. A slight delay which would allow ATP to stall both the Madrid and Rome tournaments as an express preparation.

Joined by AFP, the French Tennis Federation (FFT) did not confirm the information. "The FFT is in contact with the international bodies, ATP, WTA and ITF, and it awaits the formalization of the calendar by these bodies," she replied.

The FFT had surprised in mid-March by unilaterally deciding to reschedule Roland-Garros in late September. Wimbledon, which was to be played June 29 to July 12, was canceled by its organizers. As for the US Open, it remains on schedule (August 31 to September 13).
