The national technical management of the French Football Federation (FFF) announced Thursday the closure until the end of the season of its pre-training centers. According to her, it is a “precautionary measure” in the face of the coronavirus epidemic. In addition, DTN "recommended the same health precautionary measure for the training centers of professional clubs approved by the FFF".

Professional clubs could apply the same measure

The decision of the national technical director Hubert Fournier, taken "in agreement with the president of the FFF Noël Le Graët and the representatives of the professional unions", applies to the female and male pre-training centers of the FFF. DTN “responds to a priority: protecting the health of young players and their staff”.

Suspended since March 12, "the activities of all the training structures of the FFF and professional clubs will resume the next 2020-2021 season, when health security conditions allow," said the DTN, suggesting that the professional clubs would apply a similar measure. In the meantime, these structures "will ensure individual school and sports follow-up for young footballers in training until July".

The FFF manages 25 training structures, while 36 professional clubs also have a training center approved by the DTN within the FFF. On April 16, the FFF announced the final cessation of all of its amateur and youth championships.
