At the end of March, the final decision came from the Swedish Diamond League gala at Stockholm Stadium: postponed for an indefinite future. Today, Jan Kowalski, competition director for the gala, can tell SVT Sport that they have a new potential date.
- Our target date is August 9th. But we do not know how the Diamond League leadership will take it. Their new schedule will probably be ready by May 1st, Kowalski told SVT Sport.
According to Kowalski, a final decision from DL management is awaiting how the planned competitions will be carried out in the future.
In March, the Diamond League announced that it would postpone all planned competitions in May: Stockholm (24th), Naples / Rome (28th), Rabat (31st). In Diamond League's official calendar, all scheduled competitions from June on are still booked with the final in Zurich on the eleventh September as the last stop.
