After the 2018 season, Florence Schelling announced that his hockey career was over. Then she had taken two SM silver with Linköping and also participated in and stopped Sweden in the Sochi 2014 Olympics, where she helped Switzerland to bronze and was named the tournament's goalkeeper.

After leaving hockey, she has been the coach of Switzerland's U18 national team on the women's side and assistant coach of Rapperswil in the women's second league in Switzerland.

Now Zurich-born Schelling is taking over the main responsibility of the reigning Swiss champions, SC Bern.

Due to a skiing accident that Schelling was with last winter, she will start working 50 percent and then gradually increase. Her work in one of Europe's most stressed clubs begins after the Easter weekend.
