FIFA has recommended the extension of player contracts that are due to expire next June, and has said that it will allow transfer dates for the extension of the current European season, after the Corona pandemic has caused the suspension of local football competitions.

FIFA also said it would encourage clubs and players "to work together to reach agreement and solutions during the football hiatus."

FIFA showed flexibility in the upcoming transfer season dates, and indicated that sport must cope with an unprecedented revenue loss.

After the repercussions of the spread of the Coruna epidemic and its impact on all levels of football, FIFA has worked on a series of recommendations and guidelines to address some important issues, some of which relate to player contracts and the transfer system in general.
