The Emirates Football Association has ended the contract of Serbian coach Ivan Jovanovic, the national team coach, without the coach going to any match with the team.
Jovanovic took over the duties of coaching the national team in late December in a six-month contract to lead the national team in its remaining matches from the joint qualifiers to the 2022 World Cup and the 2023 AFC Asian Cup finals that were scheduled to take place last March and next June before they are completed. International matches postponed all over the world following the outbreak of the Coronavirus, which stood before the coach for any game with Al-Abyad before his thanks were signed.
The Board of Directors of the Football Association assigned the National Teams and Technical Affairs Committee to study the contract file with a new technical staff to lead the team during the coming period.
