The attack star's contract expires on June 30 and several Italian media have written that the Swede will then leave the club.

Ibrahimovic himself recently said in an interview with Svenska Dagbladet that "I don't even know what I want myself".

The Football-Italia site has talked to the brass Pato, who played with Zlatan in Milan, and he thinks the club should hold firmly to the fixing star and sports director Paolo Maldini.

- The club has to let Maldini work. He knows what it means to belong to Milan and he can bring them back to the finroom. Then Milan must focus on Ibrahimovic, he is too valuable for the young players and too deadly to advance goals, says Pato.

Won the league with Milan

Brassen joined Milan in the league title in the 2010-2011 season, and he believes the club will rise after a few heavy years.

- The fans have to believe that, for the club to be rebuilding. But it has hurt to see them so bad in recent years.

The 30-year-old Pato, who scored a total of 63 goals for Milan in five and a half seasons, now plays in Sao Paolo in the Brazilian high school.
