Austrian Sports Minister Werner Kugler said Saturday that athletes in Austria can look forward to returning to training facilities in the coming weeks.

The athletes will return step-by-step, and athletes in outdoor games such as tennis players will return faster than those who practice indoor sports, according to the Austrian News Agency (APA) quoted Kugler as saying at a press conference.

"I hope this will happen soon, in the coming weeks," Kugler added.

Kugler added that these measures will be applied only to training activities, in light of the outbreak of the emerging Corona Virus (Covid 19) epidemic, and will not be applied to sports in which fans are present.

In light of the importance of sport to society and the economy, Kugler proposed allocating a government relief fund that clubs and federations benefit from, with funding worth 38 billion euros (41.1 billion dollars), indicating that more details will be worked on.
