LaLiga has urged the First and Second clubs this Friday to "initiate ERTEs to reduce working hours due to force majeure" with which to appease the "serious economic crisis that the Covid-19 is causing in Spanish football."

The body chaired by Javier Tebas speaks of "necessary exercise of responsibility" after stressing that conversations with the Association of Spanish footballers (AFE) are "very distant".

The request comes after the meeting of its Executive Committee and after "analyzing the current circumstances" of a sector that, according to its figures, represents "1.37% of GDP and employs about 185,000 people."
