Basketball Men's B-League Osaka Evessa has announced that one of its team members has been tested positive for a new coronavirus. It is the second person to be infected in the team.

According to the club, the team had a fever since the end of last month and had been tested for a new coronavirus infection due to two days of coughing, malaise, and taste and smell abnormalities. On the third day, it was determined to be positive.

This is one of the close contacts of the athlete who was confirmed to be infected for the first time in the team per day, and the second person to be confirmed to be infected in the team.

The club closed the practice area in Konohana-ku, Osaka on the 2nd to carry out disinfection work, and has instructed players and staff to stay at home after 29th of last month.

Eight other members of the team, including athletes and staff, have been complaining of illness by the 2nd, and are continuing to monitor for new infections.
