For his part, the Secretary-General of the Football Association stressed that there is an expected coordination and meeting with the Association of Professionals regarding the fate of the Arab Gulf League and the first and second tournaments and the continuation of the activity or not and that the decision in this regard will be taken according to the variables, denying the existence of any recommendation from the Football Association to raise the number of Arab Gulf League clubs to 16 clubs during the coming season, stressing that this matter was not presented to the Board of Directors, pointing out that regarding the President’s Cup final match between Al Ain and Al Dhafra, there are several options for establishing it, including its establishment in next June if the activity continues .
