For his part, the Secretary-General of the Football Association stressed that there is an expected coordination and meeting with the Association of Professionals regarding the fate of the Arab Gulf League and the first and second tournaments and the continuation of the activity or not and that the decision in this regard will be taken according to the variables, denying the existence of any recommendation from the Football Association to raise the number of Arab Gulf League clubs to 16 clubs during the coming season, stressing that this matter was not presented to the Board of Directors, pointing out that regarding the President’s Cup final match between Al Ain and Al Dhafra, there are several options for establishing it, including its establishment in next June if the activity continues .
Following the meeting during a press conference held with representatives of different media, the Football Federation Secretary-General Mohamed Hazam Al-Dhaheri said: “The board of directors reviewed the committee’s recommendations, among them the recommendations of the National Teams and Technical Affairs Committee, to hold a session with the first team coach Jovanovic to discuss the team’s program during The next period, as well as the recommendations of the Competitions Committee, which recommended the cancellation of all Sunni stage competitions due to the current circumstances that do not allow the establishment of competitions for Sunni stages .
Bin Hazam stressed that the Football Association is currently unable to take a decision regarding the Arab Gulf League or the first and second degree league competitions only after consulting with the competent authorities due to the presence of daily changes under the current circumstances .
He added, "As long as we have time for about two weeks from now to extend the suspension period of the competitions, all options and scenarios must be studied and the media and clubs will be informed about them according to the existing variables and we also have a link with other partners, whether the Asian and International Football Associations or others, and our priority in the Football Association It is the safety of everyone before declaring a team victory or the end of the J tournament .
