Argentine star Lionel Messi did not hide his admiration for the Liverpool team, as he put four of his stars on a list of 25 players, who are considered the best in the last version of the Champions League, which crowned the Reds.

Although the Reds qualified for the final match at the expense of Barcelona after defeating him on a historic defeat at Anfield with a clean quad, the Blaugrana captain praised the Liverpool quartet consisting of goalkeeper Alison Baker and defender Virgil Van Dyck in addition to the scorers of the team, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, and placed them in his favorite list.

In press statements, Messi praised Salah, saying, "He was great and I admire his style of play."

He also repeated tribute to Mani, who he said was "full of energy and vitality, and moving around the whole stadium."

Barcelona captain Van Dyck described the difficult competitor in the matches, stressing that he is one of the best defenders in the world.

Messi had previously praised Sadio Mane, and said that he deserved to win the Golden Ball and it is a shame that he was ranked fourth in the list of the best players in the world.
