The three French football internationals, Kingsley Coman (Bayern Munich), Thomas Lemar (Atletico Madrid) and Anthony Martial (Manchester United), decided "with one voice" to make a donation to the CHU de Guadeloupe, to fight against coronavirus, they said in a March 26 letter released to the public on Monday.

"We are fully aware of the serious difficulties that we all encounter on a global scale and Guadeloupe is unfortunately not spared by this scourge that is Covid-19", indicate those who call themselves "the children of Guadeloupe "

The donation amount has not filtered

"It is our duty to help the most vulnerable and the most disadvantaged (...)", they write, calling for the protection of "the elderly, who are among the most vulnerable to the virus", as well as "the nursing staff in charge of their well-being ”.

At CHU, we do not yet know the amount of the donation in question, but we are delighted. "In Guadeloupe, several companies and individuals wished to make donations in kind or financially to the CHU," says one in the ranks of management.

This hospital center, ravaged by a fire at the end of 2017, received Monday 30 patients, including 14 in intensive care. On the island, 107 cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed and there are 5 deaths for 20 cures.
