"This is a great lesson from humanity: nothing is taken for granted". From Saudi Arabia where he plays in Al-Hilal FC, footballer Bafétimbi Gomis sees confinement as a good opportunity to "refocus on the essentials".

The international, who is, like the rest of the population, confined to his home with his loved ones, intends to "refocus on the essentials, on his family life, on himself and to question himself". At the microphone of Europe 1, he confides in what inspires him the health crisis of the coronavirus which affects the whole world: "We realize that nothing is acquired and we receive a great lesson from humanity: nothing n 'is acquired ", he explains, admitting his pain in the face of the situation in France which counted 2.606 dead, according to a last assessment Sunday:" I who am abroad, the images that I see of France touch me , but let's try to emerge stronger from this health crisis ".

"Stay competitive"

To keep busy, Bafétimbi Gomis keeps a daily sports activity. "We each have a small individual program to do a little each day, a little sport daily to remain competitive, to be in good conditions if there is the rest of the competition," he describes.

Because in Saudi Arabia as in many countries, containment was introduced to try to limit the spread of the virus, although Ryad remains little affected compared to Italy or France. We see that what we privilege is really health and it prevails over everything, "says the former international.
