The sports community, with truly fierce criticism, fell upon the Olympic champion in biathlon and ski racing Anfis Reztsova. In the midst of a non-working week declared in Russia, designed to stop the spread of coronavirus in the country, she said that she would not comply with quarantine. In this way, she provoked an angry tirade from both the side of colleagues and the television commentator Dmitry Guberniev.

On Sunday, Reztsova told Sport Express in a comment that she did not intend to comply with restrictive measures and had already left her home several times for personal reasons.

"Quarantine? I don’t observe it, I travel around the guests, what will happen to us? We walk through the woods with relatives, my brother visited Vladimir, there is pure nature. The grandson is a year old; it is wrong to keep him in four walls. Let's be honest - no one even knows if the mask helps or not. How to observe it? It’s better to live like you lived without clogging your brain, ”the former athlete is sure.

Reztsova noted that there are no sanctions for violation of quarantine, and therefore there is nothing reprehensible in taking advantage of non-working days for spending leisure time outside the house.

“Now they are so actively voicing that there will be a punishment for violation. I understand everything, security, but where is the specific law? Yesterday they began to actively criticize people who went for barbecue. People sit in families, do not bother anyone. What are they carriers of the virus? Soon we will be forbidden to breathe, or what? It seems that someone wants to ban more, ”Reztsova added.

She also expressed the opinion that mass competition was also not worth it, and cited Belarus as an example, where sports life did not stop.

“Now everyone is scared, we must live a quiet life, as we lived. To cancel, perhaps, it was not necessary. For example, I am on the side of Alexander Lukashenko, who is the least panicked about this and reassures people, ”concluded Reztsova.

Guberniev sharply disagreed with her quarantine position. He not only stated that he no longer respects the Olympic champion, but will also ensure that the ski stadium in Khimki is deprived of her name.

“I believe that against the background of the difficult situation in the country, Reztsov should be held accountable for such statements! Honorary citizen of Khimki Anfisa Reztsova, once my idol, I despise you! I’ll prepare an appeal to the leadership of the Moscow Region and the Khimki City District on renaming the Anfisa Reztsova Stadium. Such people should not be an example for us and our youth. Anfisa Reztsova is the fierce shame of Soviet and Russian sports! ” - said the journalist in his Telegram.

Two-time Olympic biathlon champion Dmitry Vasiliev also criticized Reztsova. He noted that although he was not happy with the new rules, he was forced to comply with them.

“The problem of our man is non-compliance with laws. All our complaints that someone did not do something belong to us. I’m not afraid of the virus, but I follow all the requirements. Saying Reztsova - disrespect for our laws. We do not understand how we live because we do not comply with the laws. For some reason, when we cross the border and enter another country, everyone becomes law-abiding. Everything in life is very simple: if you were told that it’s better not to do something, then you must obey, ”the former athlete told the Championship.

The State Duma deputy, president of the Curling Federation of Russia Dmitry Svishchev did not agree with Reztsova either. According to him, the current measures are aimed at not repeating the more deplorable situation of other countries.

“I watched the footage of how Italians and Americans lie on hospital beds, who say what kind of fools they were. And I spoke with my friend, who now, unfortunately, is in the infectious diseases hospital. For me, this problem has already become close. I can say that this is a terrible thing. Probably, fortunately, Anfisa Reztsova has no comrades who have encountered a coronavirus. I hope that they will not be. But I suggest not experimenting and listening to those who know what they are talking about now - doctors and managers who are worried about citizens, ”Svishchev told“ Sports day after day. ”

Reztsova did not ignore Guberniev’s attack on her and warned that she intended to find out the relationship with him over the phone. She reiterated that she had not seen anything wrong with not observing the quarantine conditions, since she had to leave her home.

“Who is he to say that? This is a nightmare, just a nightmare ... Guberniev trampled me into such dirt that I can’t find the words. And how do I deal with such people? I wanted to call and say to him: “Dima, can you cover your mouth sometimes?” Apparently, you need to call and say everything. What right does he have to insult people like that? I just went to my brother in Vladimir, a person feels bad. Why should I spray that a person has problems? Have I committed a crime? ” - said Reztsova Sport24.

In response, Guberniev showed his subscribers statistics on new infections with coronavirus, from which it follows that almost half of the cases in Moscow are in people under 40, and 17 of them are children. Commenting on this data, the commentator could not do without insulting Reztsova.

“This is a note to Anfisa Reztsova and other idiots! Take care of yourself, people! ” - added Guberniev.

It is worth noting that in the sports community, not only Reztsova expressed skepticism about the recent measures taken to combat coronavirus. For example, MMA fighter Sergei Kharitonov said that they do not need to be observed by young and physically strong people.

“I feel great. Yes, what a home environment! I walk, walk, and not worry. I’m not afraid, because it is dangerous for the elderly, and we, the young black horses, are not afraid. I support the form in specially designated places - in parks, on the streets there are crossbars, bars. I’m not a violator of the law, I calmly ran and exercised, ”Kharitonov told RIA Novosti.

Later, the Moscow Mayor’s Office emphasized that it was forbidden to leave the house for jogging and practice on sports grounds until 5 April.
