The gentlemen have already done so. Now Örebro's football ladies also choose to short-term staff, players and leaders.

The decision applies to all players and coaches in the A and F19 teams as of April 1 and is a measure to mitigate the financial consequences of the ongoing corona crisis.

"We consider it crucial for the club's survival," chairman Fredrik Stengarn told the club's website.

Örebro can cancel the layoff when it becomes clear that the competition matches will start again.

When SVT Sport made a roundabout to all Damall Swedish teams earlier this week to match their financial plan, Stengarn was already in the process of laying off.

- We are in the midst of handling the situation and measures will be required to manage both the short-term liquidity but also other efforts to ensure that the club can conduct business even after the corona eruption has subsided, he said.
