Amid the growing consensus that the Tokyo Olympics should be postponed, a member of the International Olympic Committee's IOC, Vice-Chairman Dick Pound, is drawing attention as the IOC has already decided to postpone the Tokyo Olympics internally.

In an interview with USA Today, Dick Pound, based on information held by the IOC, decided to postpone the Tokyo Olympics and said it is likely to be held next year.

In addition, other conditions, such as the postponement schedule, have not yet been decided, but "To the best of my knowledge, the Tokyo Olympics will not start on July 24th."

Dick Pound, who was elected as an IOC member in 1978, is a veteran member who has been active in the IOC for more than 40 years as an executive member and vice chairman.
